Pineapple Fried Rice

Fried rice is one of the best dishes on the Blackstone, but adding some other items helps tremendously. Like, pineapple!



Ingredients

Rice:

2 cups long grain jasmine rice

2 tsp chicken powder (or use chicken stock)

2 1/4 cups water

Fried Rice:

1 /2 cup onion

1 /2 cup red pepper

3 cloves garlic 1/2 cup diced fresh pineapple.

¼ 1/2 cup cup soy sauce

3 large eggs

1 tsp MSG

1 /2 tsp salt

3 tbsp butter

Avocado oil



Directions

Step 1

1 First take two cups of Jasmine rice and rinse thoroughly. Add the rice to a pot and put just a little over two cups of water. turn burner on high, add some chicken powder. When it just starts to boil, stir and put lid on pot and turn heat to low. Cook for 15 minutes. Take rice off burner and let sit 10 minutes. Spread out on a platter and put in fridge for 2-4 hours.

Step 2

2 Dice red pepper and onion. Add oil to the griddle and heat to low or 400 degrees. Add onion and red pepper. When cooked to your liking move to one side of the griddle and add more oil to griddle and add rice. Add garlic to the vegetables and the pats of butter to the rice. Mix well. Add pineapple to one side of the griddle and get a char on it.

Step 3

3 Take the rice and make a indentation in the middle. Add some more butter and crack the eggs in the middle of the rice. Add salt and pepper and cook eggs till hard. Mix everything together. When mixed well, add soy sauce. Add MSG and mix well.

Step 4

4 Remove from griddle and garnish with green onions.
