Donut Sandwich

Dessert donut sandwiches will be your next go to quick recipe for dessert!



Ingredients:

6 glazed donuts

6 slices pineapple

1 cup brown sugar

4 tbsp cinnamon-sugar

powdered sugar

4 tbsp butter

pinch salt

3 tbsp honey




Directions:

 

1. preheat griddle to low. Take each donut and slice in half. Melt 2 tbsp butter on one side of the griddle. Add the pineapple slices and add liberal amounts of brown sugar. Then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and a pinch of salt.

 

2. On the other side of griddle add more butter and put donuts on the griddle, cut side down. Flip pineapple and add more brown sugar and cinnamon sugar. After about a minute, flip donuts. Keep flipping pineapple until they get to the softness you desire.

 

3. When the pineapple are about done and the donuts are toasted, add honey to the cut side of the donuts. Add some more cinnamon sugar on top of the honey. Add a pineapple slice to the bottom bun of each donut. Put the top on the donut and move to the cutting board. Put some sifted powdered sugar on each donut and enjoy
