Grocery prices are out of control — so I challenged myself to feed four people for $15. In this video I head to the store, grab what I need on a tight budget, and cook up sliders with caramelized onions and homemade mac and cheese bites on the Blackstone griddle. The catch? I don't show the receipt until the very end. If you want to stretch your grocery budget without sacrificing flavor, this one's for you.

Ingredients:
1 package Hawaiian rolls
1 med onion chopped
1 1/2 pounds hamburger
1 package Ready-made Mac and Cheese
1 package American cheese slices
1 tbsp flour
1 large egg
1/4 cup milk
Hussey's Heifer Dust
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup panko
Dukes Mayonnaise
Directions:
1. Preheat griddle to low/med.
2. In a bowl, add the mac and cheese and add the flour. Mix the egg and milk together in a shallow pan. Sprinkle some Heifer Dust in the egg mixture and mix well.
3. Mix the panko and the bread crumbs together in another shallow dish. Add some peanut oil to griddle.
4. Take the mac and cheese and take small amounts and make a fritter (1" ball flattened out) and dip in egg wash then the panko. Set on a plate or pan and continue till all the mac and cheese are coated. You should get 8 fritters.
5. Take the rolls and slice them horizontally. Once cut, set aside and use the cardboard container as a template for the burgers. Put meat in the package and spread out in the package a little larger than the rolls. Season meat with Heifer Dust.
6. Unwrap the cheese slices, about 5-6 of them and set aside. First, put down the mac and cheese fritters in the peanut oil. Make sure to move the oil around the fritters to keep them cooking.
7. Put down the rolls next to the mac and cheese and toast to your desired doneness. When toasted, remove and set aside.
8. Put down the onions and add some oil. Cook tilled caramelized. When mac and cheese bites are browned on one side, flip and cook on the other side. Season the onion with Hussey's Chicken dust and let cook till soft. Move to side of griddle.
9. Turn heat up in the middle to med/high and put meat down, seasoned side down. Remove the packaging and season the other side with Heifer Dust.
10. When mac and cheese bites are done, put on wire rack to keep warm while the meat finishes cooking. Add mayo to the rolls. Flip the meat and add onions and then cheese to the meat. Add some water to steam and cover till the cheese melts. Put the meat on the rolls and if desired, add pickles. Add the top bun and cut into individual rolls. Remove the mac and cheese bites and enjoy.
11. By the way, this meal came in at $15.13 with tax.
