Chili Hot Dogs with Red Slaw on the Blackstone Griddle

These hot dogs on the Blackstone griddle will take you back to those baseball games, like they did for me. A small twist on this with making red slaw instead of a mayonnaise based coleslaw. It's a great twist and used a lot in our area.

Ingredients:

Slaw

1/3 head cabbage chopped fine

1/4-1/2 cup ketchup

1-2 tsp 1-2 teaspoons salt

1-2 tsp sugar

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp red pepper

2-3 tbsp apple cider vinegar (not red wine like I noted one time in the video)

Chilli

1/2 lb Ground beef

1/4 cup ketchup

1-2 tsp chilli powder

2-3 tbsp water

Salt to taste

4 Hot dogs of choice

4 Buns of choice

chopped onions

Ingredients:

1. Mix slaw ingredients together and set aside. Heat griddle to low and put down the ground beef. Cook till browned. Put meat in a pan on the griddle and add the rest of the chili ingredients. Mix well.

2. Put hot dogs on the griddle and get a good char on them flipping so they are charred all the way around, about 6 minutes.

3. Put buns on griddle and warm them up.

4. Put a hot dog in each bun followed by mustard, ketchup, chili, slaw and chopped onions.
