Cheesesteaks on the Blackstone Griddle is a game changer! I used thin sliced ribeye, provolone, and American cheese along with some onions and peppers. This is an easy recipe that will be sure to please your crowd.
Ingredients
2 pound Ribeye steak Cut thin
1 /2 Onions, sliced
1 Red Peppers, Sliced
4 Hogie Rolls 8"
Mayo
12 slices American Cheese
12 slices Provolone Cheese Seasoning :
2 Tbsp Knor beef powder
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
Directions
Step 1
1 Freeze rib eye for an hour to firm up. Take out of freezer and slice this and make 4ea 1/2 pound piles. Season steak piles with seasoning.
Step 2
2 Pre heat griddle to 325 (low) and add some oil and butter. Put red peppers and onions down. Season veggies with your seasoning and let them sweat and cook. Cook the veggie's first and to your liking because the rib eye will be a fast cook. Then move them to the side on low
Step 3
3 Crank the griddle up to high and add oil for the rib eyes. Let get to around 475-500 degrees and put down the rib eyes. Add seasoning liberally and cook. As it starts to brown, add mayo to the bun if desired and toast. When done, add peppers and onions and top with 3 slices of cheese of choice or both. Cover to melt cheese for about 30 seconds
Step 4
4 Put bun facing down over the steak mixture and get spatula under it and flip over
