I have been wanting to try this recipe for quite some time. It was creamy with a little heat, and just delicious. I tried this on the new 22" griddle I recently assembled and I really enjoyed it. Now, the other part to this story is, my whole system was a little thrown off and I feel like it showed in the video.
Ingredients
1 pound eastern shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 /2 cup mayo
1 /4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
2 tsp Sriracha (more if you want it hotter)
1 /2 cup corn starch
1 /2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp salt (for the cornstarch)
1 tsp pepper (for the cornstarch)
1 cup Cooking oil ( or more)
Scallions for garnish
Directions
Step 1
1 Turn on griddle and get to Medium/High setting. Next mix the sauce, thai sweet chili sauce, mayo and siracha and stir till mixed.
Step 2
2 Peel and devein shrimp and marinate in buttermilk.Add salt and pepper to the cornstarch and take shrimp out of buttermilk and put in cornstarch coating well. Add about a cup of oil to griddle and shallow fry shrimp till cooked, about two minutes per side.
Step 3
3 When shrimp is done, put them in the sauce mixture and coat well.
