Habachi/ Teppanyaki

If you're looking for a delicious and easy way to cook hibachi at home, then look no further! This How to Make Hibachi at Home on the Blackstone Griddle video will show you how to make fried rice, steak, chicken and hibachi all in one easy step!


Teriyaki sauce:

1 /4 cup soy sauce (I used low sodium)

5 Tbs brown sugar

1 cup water

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp ginger (to taste, I added a squirt of ginger paste later)

2 Tbs honey

Splash of rice wine vinegar

Yum Yum Sauce:

1 cup mayonnaise

1 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp mirin

2 tsp rice wine vinegar

1 /4 tsp paprika

3 /4 tsp onion powder

1 tbsp sugar

1 /4 cup water

1 tbsp butter melted.


2 cups white rice uncooked

1 tbsp chicken powder

2 1/4 cups water

1 bell pepper, chopped

1 onion chopped

2 large eggs

1 /4 cup soy sauce


2 chicken breasts cut into bite size pieces

2 New york strips cut into bite size pieces

6 oz broccoli florets

8 oz mushrooms sliced


Step 1

1 Teriyaki sauce:

2 Bring all Teriyaki sauce ingredients to a slight boil, mix 1/4 cup water and 2 tablespoons cornstarch to make a slurry and add to the sauce to thicken.

3 Yum Yum Sauce:

4 Mix all ingredients together and let sit at least 2 hours.

5 Rice:

6 Rinse rice in a strainer and add to a pan. add water and chicken powder and bring to a simmer. Lower heat, add lid and let cook for 15 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Cool and put on a sheet pan. Put in refrigerator for several hours or over night.

Step 7

7 When ready to start, heat griddle to low. Add some oil and put down rice veggie's and cook till soft. Move to the side and add a liberal amount oil and add cold rice. Add veggie's to the top of the rice and add 3-4 pats of butter. Let sit a minute and start breaking and mixing the rice. Add soy sauce and mix. Move to the side.

8 Add oil to the griddle and turn up the heat. Add brocholi and mushrooms but keep separate. Add butter to mushrooms and brocholi. When done move out of the way and put chicken down. Lay steak down next to chicken. When meats are done, add mushrooms to the steak followed by a liberal amount of soy sauce. Add broccoli to chicken followed by teriyaki sauce. Remove meats from griddle and spread out the rice. Put two eggs down and scramble. Mix with the rice. Remove and serve with Yum Yum sauce
