Smoked Shotgun Shells

I've seen many folks cook these little tubes of goodness and I wanted to try my hand at them too. Gosh they were so tasty!


I did these a two ways as I had heard that the noodles is a little tough just taking them out the box and then wrapping with bacon.


So I did two ways, one right out of the box and the other I par boiled for 90 seconds. I'll let you see for yourself which you like!




Ingredients:

  1. 1 box manicotti (un-parboiled or parboiled)

  2. 1 lb breakfast sausage (or whatever you like)

  3. 1 block cream cheese

  4. 8 oz shredded cheese (I used Colby Jack) - Note I used a little over half bag, should have used the whole bag

  5. 1 Tablespoon of your favorite rub (optional really)

  6. 1 lb regular cut bacon

  7. Favorite rub seasoning for the outside of your bacon Sauce for glaze
